About a year ago, I was lucky enough to be selected to provide bookkeeping services to the brainchild organization of two of the most devoted, talented artists of our time, Alex and Allyson Grey.

Each month, I travel to a fabulous place they have created, Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors in Wappinger Falls, NY. It is “A sanctuary for seeing ourselves and the world as reflections of the Divine”. It is a very special place, created by these very special people.

The main, historic Hudson Valley home has been almost entirely renovated and eventually the property will hold a gallery, a chapel to contain the world famous Sacred Mirrors, among other divinely inspired spaces and structures. Currently you can visit CoSM during monthly full moon gatherings, special events for holidays like Halloween, the solstices, the equinoxes, and New Years. Additionally they host very special, transformational seminars and workshops.

As most people know, the East Coast has faced a brutal onslaught of snow and ice storms for the past two months. A few days ago I went to CoSM and found the inspiration for Ice, Artists and Burning Man. I present to you Kate Raudenbush’s Altered States. It was a work first presented at the summer festival Burning Man.

Burning Man Altered States

It so interesting to see it at CoSM, where it is on loan from the artist, embraced by blanket of snow and ice.
