Business Sucks

Okay I’m just kidding.

I actually love business. But I also love being creative.

The truth is many people who start business or become self-employed do so because they are creative. They want to change the world! They want to share themselves and whatever gift they have (in my case its bookkeeping & business knowledge and holding it down on a dance-floor…..but alas I digress).

So why does business suck? Because there are so many things to learn, so many things to manage, so much research to do. And of course there is an excess of time (That’s a joke. Really…..I promise). The learning curve is really high if you are new to the world of entrepreneurship. It’s really, really high. I am about to karate chop that learning curve in half (and *that* ain’t no joke!).

Here starts a series of topics on need-to-know business basics. We are going to cover the different types of business ownership, insurance needs, and of course all manner of bookkeeping topics including different types of income & expenses, subcontractors vs. employees, tax forms, self-employment taxes, accounting software options, how to read financial statements and more.

Look for a new post each week, and….. some video if your lucky.
