associate bookkeeper

(PART-TIME/HOURLY/VIRTUAL)

about the position:

We are currently seeking candidate to fill an Associate Bookkeeper position for 15-20 hours per week. Our preference is for a person to work in our Briarcliff Manor, NY office, but the right candidate can work virtually.

You will assigned to specific clients to handle their bookkeeping work. For some clients this is just simply monthly data entry & reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

For “full charge” clients tasks could include Accounts Payable and Receivable, payroll administration, generating weekly financial reports, issuing payments as determined and approved by the client and general bookkeeping tasks.

For all clients you must populate and update internal project management systems and keep in direct contact with company principal regarding progress, problems, and workflow.

About You:

We hire team members who are as incredible as our clients. You should have the following skills and/or experience:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, and preference is given to those who have QuickBooks Online experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent phone and writing skills
  • Ability to learn and embrace new systems, particularly new software easily
  • Ability to prioritize

ABOUT OUR HIRING PROCESS

All resumes will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted for a brief phone interview. Second interviews will be held in person and full background checks will be completed. Final candidates will be invited to work on a per diem basis for 1-2 weeks to make sure skill and personality set are a fit for our office. Signing a confidentiality and non-compete agreement are required prior to hiring.
